Origin, diffusion and economic characteristics
Heavy breed originating in Sweden. It comes from Pomeranian ducks.
There are some varieties: black white breast, blue white breast, chocolate white breast, splash.
Much rarer is the Swedish yellow breed with fawn plumage.

I - GENERALITIES
Origin Sweden, from Pomeranian ducks.

Shell color: greenish white.

Country type duck, lively and alert, well proportioned in shape.
III - STANDARD
General appearance and characteristics of the breed
Trunk: proportionate to the width of the back, rounded, full and deep, slightly upright.
Head: proportionate, oval and well rounded at the top; flat forehead, well cut under the throat.
Beak: long, wide and straight; firmly at the base, slightly concave curve to the forehead.
Eyes: full and lively.
Neck: medium length, not too thick, gently arched.
Back: flat, long, wide.
Wings: well closed and tight to the body, kept high in line with the body; they must not cross on the back.
Tail: quite short, compact, carried slightly above the line of the back.
Chest: full, rounded, deep and well-fleshy; worn slightly prominent. Keelless.
Legs: fleshy, and long enough to display the junction with the tarsi, positioned far enough back, more or less at the end of the wing coverts. Moderately short and strong tarsi.
Belly: well developed, rounded, wide and deep; without baleen.

IV - COLORS:
BLUE WITH STICK
Male and Female Dark blue male head with green highlights. In the female of the same color as the body. Wings of the same color of the body except the two external primary remiges which must be white. Wing mirror visible as little as possible. Remnant of the uniform blue plumage of medium intensity, on the front of the neck and goiter there is a white bib of harmonious size, with outline, if possible, well delimited.
Beak in male gray-blue-yellowish; in the greenish gray female. Black nail in both sexes. Dark brown eyes with black pupil. Dark blue tarsi with orange traces allowed.
BLACK WITH STICK
Male and Female Like blue with bib but blue is replaced by intense black with green reflections.
Beak in gray-blue male; in the greenish gray female. Blue - blackish tarsi with orange traces allowed.
