Floral arrangements for wedding
The floral arrangements for the wedding are a very important ornamental element, because they create a perfect frame for the most beautiful day of the couple, with style and color.
Compositions for the church
Before choosing flower arrangements for the church, several factors must be considered. If you can indulge in the reception in a certain sense, in church you must still follow some rules. Ask the parish priest where the flowers can be placed and what colors can be used. Usually it is preferred to follow a single compositional style between church and reception, but if this is not possible, it is better to adapt to the church and choose flowers in harmony with the architecture of the church. This will create harmony and the final result will be pleasing to the eye. In an ancient church, a simple and sober style should always be maintained, focusing on a few elements that attract attention. For example, if there is a long nave, you can place white roses or roses with soft shades, intertwined with ribbons and veils along the benches, creating a single corridor of flowers. To break up the monotony of color, you can insert green elements, such as fern leaves or ivy that fall in cascade. If you cannot use the nave of the church, you can use single compositions on the sides of the doors and near the altar. In a modern church, for example, you can insert sphere compositions made with calla lilies, hydrangeas, lilies or even simple daisies. If space permits, they can be placed on the ground or on small pedestals covered with satin or veil, otherwise let down from the ceiling. Where possible, you can also place flowers on the altar, but it is better to choose small compositions, which create harmony without being excessive.
Ideas for the reception
Reception floral arrangements must usually have different shapes based on the place where they are to be placed, with the common denominator of the colors and style chosen. Compared to the church there are no particular restrictions, but we must try to follow a single style and be based on one or at most two colors, which are well combined with each other. Not very large centerpieces should be placed on the tables, chosen according to the size of the table, avoiding that guests cannot look at each other. You can choose compositions made only of flowers or enriched with other elements such as twigs of intertwined wood, light points and pearls. At the entrance, large enough compositions must be chosen that focus attention on the entrance, preferably on the ground or on pedestals of equal size. If space allows and you can also use a terrace or a room where you can dance, you can put medium-sized compositions, perhaps leaning against the walls or above the railing. When the spaces are very large, the ideal is to have quite long compositions that fall in cascade. According to the colors of the flowers, the elements that complete the table and the living room must also be chosen. A shade lighter than the color of the chosen flower, for example, creates a very pleasing optical effect. Small placeholder compositions can also be created, in order to give the guest a small floral gift at the end of the ceremony.
Bouquet of the bride
Of all the wedding compositions, the bride's bouquet is certainly the most important decorative element, which, however, is usually underestimated to give space to others. The composition must be made following the style and tastes of the bride and perfectly match the dress. Make sure that the flowers are treated so as not to dirty the dress and last as long as possible, so they should be delivered a few hours before the start of the ceremony. Those who love sophisticated style can opt for a composition of colored orchids, enriched with light points and veils, while roses, tulips and buttercups are perfect for romantic brides. The choice of shape can range a lot, in addition to the classic round bouquet you can choose an asymmetrical composition or a bundle, the important thing is that it is light and easy to hold.
Floral arrangements for weddings: Tips
Flower arrangements are a very expensive item in the wedding budget. To amortize costs, where possible, seasonal flowers should be used or DIY. If you have good dexterity, you can create nice centerpieces for the reception by yourself or decorate the entrance to the church. If all this is not possible, it could be decided to use some flowers to be moved from the church to the reception, so as not to waste them, leaving as a rule only those of the altar. For the choice of compositions you could opt for flowers other than the usual roses, such as daisies, lilies of the valley and peonies, but be careful to check if they are seasonal flowers or must be found elsewhere and stored in cold rooms. Also taking into account the seasonality of the flowers, costs can be greatly reduced. Attention should also be paid to the other elements of the decorations, the green leaf parts are usually less expensive than those made with beads or woven branches. Everything also depends on the processing times and quantities, it is better to focus on a few elements made well and not on many but poor in flowers.
