Sarmentose roses are vigorous plants, with very flexible and finely branched stems, suitable for growing on pergolas and pillars. They are much appreciated for their abundant and spectacular blooms, with large fragrant flowers gathered in corymbs, which bloom from May to July. The less vigorous specimens are planted at a distance of 1.5 - 2 meters, so as not to hinder their mutual growth and should be developed in a fan shape. The sarmentose roses they have branches up to 10 meters long, which must be pruned after 3 years of age, while a bend is enough for the younger branches. As for the exposure, avoid putting them against the walls, because the scarce vegetation could favor the onset of diseases.
