Origin and diffusion

Goat breed from Holland.
In 1958 the original population almost extinct. The very few subjects still present were crossed with very similar goats found in rural areas. Currently, there are approximately 2,100 goats and 200 goats registered in the herd book of the LFNL, the Dutch Landrace breeders' association founded in 1982.

Morphological and productive characteristics

The herds are bred in the wild in national reserves and educational farms and are not used for commercial purposes.
