Origin

Created in the mid-1800s, starting from a breed from Eastern Europe and from Swiss pigeons with pointed tufts on the Eichbühl farm, located in the canton of Bern.

Overall impression

It recalls in the figure a robust, elongated country pigeon with a low position; he has a long, angular head, resembling that of a lizard, with surprisingly large eyes, and a shy attitude.

Breed coats

Blue with or without black rods, silver and floury blue with or without dark rods, red with rods, yellow with rods, hammered blue, hammered silver blue, hammered floury, hammered red, hammered yellow.
